Russell was the all-time leading passer in Alabama history, throwing
for 10,744 yards, eclipsing the mark set by former Alabama and
current Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Brodie Croyle. A two-time
5A all-state selection, Russell rewrote the record books with 84
touchdown passes...Connected on 219 of 372 passes for 3,332
yards and 22 TDs as a senior.
On the ground Russell added 400 yards and 5 TDs in
2002...Passed for.1.850 yards and 17 TDs as a junior...Standout
